Both singer Ariana Grande and Saturday Night Live cast member Pete Davidson just got out of two-year relationships, but that didn’t keep them from quickly moving on with each other and going public with their new romance. And, in the middle of all the headlines about the surprising match, Davidson’s ex-girlfriend Cazzie David brought some humor to the situation.
Just a little more than a month after David and Davidson’s split, the Eighty-Sixed creator took to Instagram to let people know the breakup isn’t bringing her down by pretending she had no idea about the new woman in her ex’s life.
“Been in Africa,” the 24-year-old David wrote with a picture of herself in a safari jeep. “What’d I miss ??”
Fans loved David’s reaction to the news that Davidson and Grande are an item. One wrote, “OMG living for this,” while another added that they would expect nothing less from “our queen.”
Since the news broke a few days ago, Davidson and Grande appear to be inseparable. Even though things just started between them, they seem to be in a full-blown relationship. They confirmed the rumors with a Harry Potter-themed pic on Instagram that Davidson captioned, “The chamber of secrets has been opened.” In the pic, the two 24-year-olds wore matching outfits from the famous book and movie series.
Then, the next day they showed some PDA in a photo on Grande’s Instagram where the comedian is wrapping his arms around the singer and kissing her on the forehead. She captioned that pic, “I thought u into my life. Woah! Look at my mind.”
Before she started dating Davidson, Grande was in a long-term relationship with Mac Miller. The former couple split just last month.
Davidson and Grande spent Memorial Day weekend together by cuddling close to a fire and roasting marshmallows. They have also been flirting with each other on social media and leaving comments on each other’s posts.
But the new romance isn’t making all of Grande’s fans happy. She has faced some backlash for moving on from Miller so quickly. But Grande clapped back on Twitter and explained why she ended things with her former boyfriend.

She wrote that she is not a babysitter or a mother, and no woman should ever feel that they need to be. Grande said that she has cared for Miller and tried to support his sobriety, but shaming/blaming a woman for a man’s inability to “keep his sh*t together” is a problem.
Police recently arrested Miller for driving under the influence, and Grande decided to finally end things because the relationship was “toxic.”
Pete Davidson and Ariana Grande seem to be the real deal, and they now have the tattoos and social media posts to prove it.
