Actor Antonio Banderas had to be rushed to hospital on Thursday last week because of significant chest pain, according to various news reports.
The 56-year-old Spaniard was exercising at his home in Surrey, England, when he suffered agonizing pains in his chest.
911 was called and the actor was rushed to St Peter’s Hospital in Chertsey.
After keeping him under observation, the doctors released him to go home.
In an interview with Sun, the actor spoke of a “crisis”, taking advantage to praise the work of paramedics and medical staff.
On Monday, the actor addressed the incident on Instagram, writing, “Enjoying nature after a startle. Kisses.”
Banderas has withdrawn from the mundane Hollywood life and all the festivities associated with it since the end of his long marriage to actress Melanie Griffith.
In the past Banderas expressed his passion for physical exercise saying he loves cycling around London to view the gardens and nature.
He is in a relationship with 37-year-old dutch model Nicole Kempel.
Banderas has a lot of projects in the works this year. Among them, the action film ‘Salty’ for which he lent his features to an aging rock star who is kidnapped during a vacation in Thailand. He is featured alongside Olga Kurylenko.
Antonio recently starred in ‘The 33,’ a film about the 2010 Chilean mining disaster.
