Add another one to the board! Luann De Lesseps came out to accuse disgraced hip-hop mogul, Russell Simmons, of sexual assault, after he supposedly grabbed her buttocks at a Soho Beach House in Miami, Florida. In an article published by The Daily Beast, the Real Housewives star spoke candidly on the matter, and even claims she scolded the Def Jam Records co-creator for his actions.
As you may know, Lesseps is just one of many women to accuse Russell of varying levels of sexual misconduct, ranging from harassment all the way to the rape.
According to the reality star, Russell “was just a pig,” and grabbed her buttocks in an elevator, but she chose not to tell a soul about it. Lesseps said the incident left her feeling “grossed out.”
Lesseps claimed it was an act of arrogance, meaning, Russell supposedly thought he was so powerful that he could grab a woman without her permission.
Lesseps claimed she told him, “don’t ever do that again,” and he refused to apologize. As it was noted earlier, Luann is just one of several women to accuse him of sexual transgressions.
Russell is currently fighting against a $10 million lawsuit filed by an anonymous woman who claims he assaulted her. The woman is alleging that he raped her among other offenses, including infliction of emotional distress.
Back in December of 2017, the New York Times and the LA Times both published stories detailing the accusations made by many women who either worked with Russell or met him at a social gathering.
One woman claimed working for him was like a minefield, one where she regularly had to deal with harassment while also hoping to do a good job. Six different women have overtly accused him of rape. The Daily Beast reached out to his representative and were directed toward the statement he previously made to Rolling Stone Magazine.
