Bill Cosby’s fall from the graces of Hollywood has been precipitous following the allegations of sexual misconduct, as well as his recent conviction for all three charges of assault. As a result of the guilty verdict, many other networks have dropped The Cosby Show re-runs from their channels.
One of the stars of Cosby’s project, A Different World, said they hope his criminal behavior does not overshadow the good done in some of his productions.
Kadeem Hardison, who was a star of “A Different World,” spoke with TMZ about the situation, stressing that his behavior should not ruin the reputation of those classic shows.
On his way out of the LA Airport, TMZ caught up with Hardison and it was there, where he dished on his thoughts of the Cosby conviction and the ruining of his cultural legacy.
In a video you can see below, the actor said Cosby’s name wasn’t attached to “A Different World,” and even though he is rarely associated with it, it was because of Bill, that the show was even able to stick around.
He added, “I think that show was way too important for its time and now. It was much bigger than Bill Cosby.” Check out the video below:
As it was previously reported, the court and jury convicted him as guilty for all three counts of aggravated sexual assault. Initially, Bill was tried last year for his crimes, but after a mistrial, another court and jury were selected in a small town near Philadelphia.
If the court charges him with the full extent of the law, he’ll serve up to thirty years in prison, as each conviction is worth a sentence of ten years at the maximum.
However, each sentence can be carried out at the same time. Either way, it looks like Cosby will be spending his final days in prison.
