After suffering through two divorces, one with Ben Indra, and one with Chris Pratt, Anna Faris revealed she’s not overly interested in the institution of marriage anymore. While it’s a lovely thought, her faith in it is not what it used to be.
For more background, Anna was married to Ben Indra from 2004 until 2008 and Chris Pratt from 2009 to 2017. However, both relationships went downhill, with many fans suggesting that Hollywood politics and jealousy played a crucial role.
On the 26th of March, Anna said to Dax Shepard on his podcast that she believes in companionship and partnership, but the idea of being married and signing a contract no longer seems like a great idea.
Anna said dating in LA isn’t quite as easy as one would think either. The men back home were a lot easier to be around because they were “stoner dudes,” who just liked to hang out.
The men in Hollywood and Los Angeles are “glamorous and flashy.” And her final verdict on the validity of the old Christian convention: Anna said she’s not sure what the purpose of marriage is.
It could be for the safety of one’s children, tradition, or just having people respect your relationship. However, she’s not sure what it is precisely, and no longer thinks of it as being a sacred ceremony as she once did.
As you may know, Chris and Anna’s relationship on social media made it seem like everything was perfect. Faris remarked, “people seem to think we got all of this s*it all right.”
The House Bunny alum often said times she would get mad at her fans for not understanding the difficulties that were part and parcel of their marriage. “There was a little bit of anger.”
