Despite previous reports, it looks like Angelina Jolie’s divorce attorney Laura Wasser still works for her. According to the actress’ spokesperson Mindy Nyby, the news that that legal representative quit her job due to Angie being extremely unreasonable in her divorce and custody battle with Brad Pitt, is NOT true!
‘I just spoke with Laura. The TMZ story is not true, and she is not quitting now or in the future,’ Nyby stated, slamming TMZ’s initial report.
Now, a source tells ET that the insider for TMZ seems to have misunderstood some new changes.
That being said, it looks like a ‘new phase’ in the divorce has started and that is why some new experts have been brought on.
That does not mean the old ones have parted ways with either of the actors, however.
‘It’s very commonplace. It’s a normal thing to happen as cases move forward,’ the source for ET says.
It’s not surprising people assign blame to either one of the exes using little or unclear information.
After all, their divorce has been going on for a long time and it looks like they are not even close to reaching a settlement.
After filing for divorce in 2016, Angelina received physical custody of their six kids.
Last month, however, Brad was granted more visiting hours and Jolie ordered to not intervene in the kids’ relationship with their father.
‘The judge’s ruling to allow him to finally be with his kids for an extended time, without Angelina’s involvement, has changed Brad’s life. He’s incredibly busy with each of them, and he would not change that for anything. He’s planned to take the kids to do a bit of sightseeing, visit museums and enjoy England’s summer weather. The kids are his priority at the moment,’ ET reported via another insider back in June.
