Jon Voight, Angelina Jolie’s father has recently given an interview in which he said he is “rooting” for Angie, for her six kids as well as for her ex husband, Brad Pitt even though the two are no longer a couple.
“It’s a difficult time, and I don’t like to talk about it, but of course, I’m thankful for everybody’s good wishes and prayers,” said the former actor. “And I hope things work out.”
When Angelina’s father was asked what he thought about the custody agreement he stated that he hopes Brad and his daughter will make the best decision for their kids, Maddox, 15, Pax, 13, Zahara, 12, Shiloh, 10, and 8-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.
“I’m rooting for them. I don’t want this thing to dissolve. I’m rooting for the kids. My heart is with everybody, and my daughter, certainly, and the children.”
Voight and Jolie had had a bad relationship for the longest time but recently solved their differences.
On January 9, the former pair reached an agreement to keep the future divorce processions and documents private, as requested by Pitt in December.
“The parties and their counsel have signed agreements to preserve the privacy rights of their children and family by keeping all court documents confidential and engaging a private judge to make any necessary legal decisions and to facilitate the expeditious resolution of any remaining issues. The parents are committed to act as a united front to effectuate recovery and reunification.”
According to sources close to the actor, Pitt is currently doing his best to focus on his own health and happiness despite the ugly divorce war and custody battle. “He lost a bunch of weight. He’s focusing on himself again, watching what he eats and has a chef making him healthy meals.”
As fans already know, in November the A-list actor was cleared of Angelina’s accusations of abusing their kids.
