After almost two years, Angelina Jolie has finally signed an agreement with Brad Pitt.
While her signature at the dotted line means it is the end of the war, Jolie does not feel like a victor.
Au contraire, she thinks that she was the one who had to compromise and feels that she lost after all has been said and done.
Jolie has come to terms with being at the losing end because she is willing to do it all for her six kids — Eldest son Maddox, 17, Pax, 15, Zahara, 12, Shiloh, 12 and 10-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.
A source spoke to Hollywood Life and revealed how Jolie is trying to accept the outcome: “The custody battle was long and arduous, and in the end Angelina conceded a lot, mainly because she knew she had few options otherwise, and she didn’t want to have to drag the kids into court and make it even more traumatic for them.”
The friend went on to reveal to the publication: “Angelina’s actions have also definitely been affected by how she’s been portrayed in the media—she’s acutely aware that she’s being painted as the bad guy, and despite her pretense at being nonchalant, she actually really does care how she’s perceived.”
The insider claimed: “Brad ended up getting more custody time than Angelina wanted him to, but then if she had her way totally he would have had zero court-ordered time with the children. It would have all been at her discretion.”
Jolie will not let Pitt savor his big win.
The source went on to say: “She’s determined to hit Brad hard financially though, to make up for what she perceives as her losing the custody battle. If Brad thought the war was over, then he’s in for a very nasty shock!”
Jolie’s bitter attitude makes Pitt happy that he moved on with the divorce.
Another source shared: “Brad feels that Angelina and her divorce tactics continue to be hypocritical, vindictive, vengeful and controlling. The long, arduous process of separating their lives and the custody war over their children has only strengthened Brad’s resolve. He feels more confident than ever that divorcing Angelina has been the right thing to do for him.”
The insider went on to say: “While he was heartbroken over the loss of Angelina for a while, seeing the uglier side of Angelina during this divorce battle has given Brad some peace and affirmation. He knows in his heart that he is doing the right thing and what is best for his family. He is looking forward to more peaceful days ahead, when the divorce is finalized and life post-Angie.”
Those two still have a lot of things to fix.
