Angelina Jolie turned 43 years old this week and celebrated the milestone like everyone should: at a theme park. The actress is in London working on Maleficent 2 and took her 6 children to Thorpe Park in celebration of her birthday.
Jolie was spotted at the park and seemed to have a great time with all 6 of her kids. She even took some time to ride the Nemesis Inferno — a 50mph roller coaster — with her brood. Eye witnesses claim that Jolie laughed pretty much the entire time, though her bodyguard did not allow anyone to take pics.
“She had her arm around her daughter Zahara and was having a real laugh with her under her very big sunglasses,” one witness dished.
Despite being in the middle of a heated custody battle with ex-husband Brad Pitt, Jolie took all 6 of the kiddos to London while she works on her new movie. The children are finishing out the school year in a private trailer while the actress works on the film.
Pitt reportedly protested Jolie taking the kids to London until the divorce was officially settled. We don’t know what happened behind the scenes, but Jolie obviously got her way as all 6 of her kids traveled with her.
It’s almost been two years since Pitt and Jolie parted ways. Shortly after announcing their split, Pitt came under fire for allegedly abusing the kids on a private plane. The actor was eventually cleared of any wrongdoing and entered rehab to deal with his drinking problem.
Pitt eventually got sober and has completely turned his life around. He is allegedly seeking joint custody over the kids while Jolie wants full control. With their divorce dragging on for several years, there’s no telling when they will finally come to an agreement.
Jolie and Pitt were together for over a decade before ending their marriage. They share six children together: Maddox, 16, Pax, 14, Zahara, 13, Shiloh, 12, and 9-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox. They have not commented on the rumors surrounding the custody battle and have decided to keep the divorce out of the public eye.
Angelina Jolie’s appearance in Maleficent 2 will mark her first role in front of the cameras since starring alongside Pitt in By the Sea in 2015. She has voiced several characters in animated movies since the divorce and directed the 2017 Netflix movie, First They Killed My Father.
