Fans have had the chance to watch part one and two of the Real Housewives of New York City reunion, and there has already been tons of drama, but one cast member has been noticeably missing — Luann de Lesseps. The countess missed the reunion taping because she had checked herself into rehab for the second time this year, but executive producer Andy Cohen has promised that we will get to hear from her soon.
After part two aired, Cohen tweeted that de Lesseps will appear on Watch What Happens Live next Wednesday after part three of the reunion, and that is when fans will get to hear her side of the story. Even though she wasn’t at the reunion taping, the rest of the cast still talked about de Lesseps’ recent relapse, and Bethenny Frankel opened up about what led to staging an intervention.

“I would say she did not come to her decision entirely on her own,” Frankel said. “There were a few people there, and it was the right thing to do. It was a very, very emotional and crazy weekend. … It was time to face reality.”
Frankel went on to say that there was a lot going on with de Lesseps, and it got much larger than life. She said that de Lesseps has a journey to go on, and she really wants to be loved. The Skinnygirl mogul noted that people think de Lesseps is so big and tough, but she is really just a big baby, and she feels for her.
Other women in the cast also claimed that de Lesseps had relapsed earlier than what was reported in the press, and a couple of times she got escorted out of bars.
De Lesseps ended up staying in treatment a second time for a little less than three weeks, and when she checked out in early August, she returned to the stage to perform her cabaret show Countess And Friends.
Last week she told People Magazine that she had hit the 40 days sober mark, and she was in a really good place. She also said that she didn’t feel like drinking and she is committed to her sobriety.

De Lesseps problems with alcohol took center stage last December when Palm Beach County, Florida police arrested her on Christmas Eve for drunk and disorderly conduct, trespassing, and assault on an officer. Originally, she was facing felony charges, but this week a judge signed off on a plea deal that dropped her charges to misdemeanors and allowed her to avoid jail time.
LuAnn de Lesseps pled guilty to battery, trespassing, and disorderly intoxication, and will be on probation for one year during which she will have to perform 50 hours of community service (a minimum of 10 hours per month), attend two Alcoholics Anonymous meetings each week, and attend a MADD victim impact class. Plus, she cannot use drugs or alcohol and must submit to random testing.
Part three of the Real Housewives of New York City reunion airs Wednesday night on Bravo.
