The openly marijuana smoker, Andy Cohen, denied that he has ever hosted Watch What Happens Live while under the influence, during a recent podcast. However he admitted that he has been high on camera before.
In his confession he talked about throwing the first pitch for his favorite baseball team, St. Louis Cardinal’s game, not too long ago. Apparently he was really excited to have been granted the honor and afterwards ate a pot lollipop that led him to act really weirdly on camera during a filmed interview.
“I forgot that they were going to be pulling me into the broadcast booth…they came to get me and I was like, ‘Oh s***,’” shared Andy Cohen with hosts Theo Von and Matthew Cole Weiss on the “Allegedly” podcast. “I was appropriately high at the time. It was all so weird and surreal!” added the Bravo honcho, amused by the past situation.
In the video interview that day, Cohen professed his deep love for the baseball team and described what it meant to him.
“To me, the Cardinals represent so much more than just baseball. They represent home, and family, and just, uh, happiness, really,” he says in the official Cardinals clip taken during the May 17, 2016 baseball game. “I couldn’t imagine being any other way.”
However innocent his hobby of consuming pot in any form or shape may seem, the Bravo executive, that is known to enjoy the party life, has confessed doing more than just that. In his recently published book that includes real diary entries of his, Cohen admits to also doing a form of MDMA during a Grateful Dead concert.
He described the experience as an enhancement of the whole concert experience, and stated that it had a longer effect than he was used to with pot.
“It was not speedy at all, just pure, which helped me enjoy a bunch of rare songs,” he wrote in his diary.
