Kourtney Kardashian visited Washington DC recently to talk about the need for better regulations in the cosmetics industry, and now Kim Kardashian is speaking with Jared Kushner about another political issue. According to a report from E! Online, the mother-of-three is speaking with the politician for the pardoning of Alice Marie Johnson, 62.
E! claims Alice is serving an unjust 20-year prison sentence following her imprisonment in the 1990’s. She is a first-time non-violent offender for possession and distribution of narcotics.
Alice explained that after she had lost her job of ten years, she was desperate and turned to drug dealings; she described her choice as one of her worst decisions ever. In fact, it was the worst.
“I became involved in a drug conspiracy” the woman explained. Kim spoke on the matter back in October of 2017 when she tweeted an article which reported on Alice’s unfair prison sentence.
Kim previously tweeted, “this is so unfair.” As you may know, the drug laws of the United States are considered to be terrible for a developed, capitalist, democratic nation, as most European countries, for instance, are far less harsh on their offenders.

In fact, many nations in Scandinavia have decriminalized hard drugs like heroin and marijuana. Nevertheless, Kim and Jared Kushner are currently talking about getting the woman out of jail and back into the streets so she can get back to a normal life.
One month after her tweet last year, the New York Daily News claimed that Kim and her lawyer were working to get Alice pardoned.
Moreover, government officials, the prison warden, and other politicians have Alice’s back. It appears she might get out sooner than expected. Another individual to get out of prison early was Meek Mill, who violated his parole and was sentenced to go to jail. However, he was let out after six months.
