There’s nothing funnier than a good’ol kidnapping movie
The first trailer for Amy Schumer and Goldie Hawn’s action comedy “Snatched” arrived on Friday.
If the movie will be as good as the trailer, we’re in for a treat.
An odd couple premise sees Schumer and Hawn star as mother/daughter duo who travel to South America and wind up fighting for their lives on an international adventure.
In the two-minute trailer, Hawn leaps across buildings and carries some dude on her back solo, while Schumer, of course, washes her genitals in a public restroom.
“Look how much fun you were” Schumer asserts while looking at a scrapbook. “Pack your bags, we’re going to South America.”
Schumer said she was determined to have Hawn in the movie.
“I met [Hawn] on an airplane a couple of years ago and told her there’s a movie I really want to make with her,” she said. “And she was very nice. ‘OK, honey.’ She probably thought I was a psycho. ‘OK, crazy person.’ Then I’d meet her at different things, saying, ‘We’re making this movie together,’ and I think, eventually, some people got in her ear and told her I wasn’t crazy, that I make things.”
Joan Cusack, Ike Barinholtz, Wanda Sykes and Christopher Meloni co-star in the comedy, which from the trailer certainly continues Schumer’s trend of flying the raunch flag (see the red band version below).
Schumers last movie was the hit comedy Trainwreck.
“Snatched” hits theaters May 12, 2017.
