Amerian Ninja Warrior is one step closer to naming their grand prize winner and last ninja standing. The contestants who made it to the finals will compete against each other in grueling tasks of strength, focus, and agility. The grand prize winner will take home $1 million and this year, there will be a $100,000 prize for the contestant deemed “Last Ninja Standing.” American Ninja Warrior has been nominated three times for a Primetime Emmy award.
Based on the Japanese program Sasuke, American Ninja Warrior features a series of challenging obstacle courses that contestants must complete in order to win the million dollar grand prize. The course includes difficult tasks and to date, in the past nine seasons, only two ninjas have completed the course and only one claimed the top prize.
Anticipation is high that season 10 will bring at least two contestants to complete the course and one who will be named the last ninja standing.

Total victory occurs when someone completes the entire race. During season 7 there was a bit of controversy as two men finished the course at varying times. Geoff Britten, who came in first during season 7, but ultimately failed to win the money because competitor Isaac Caldeiro beat his score by 3 seconds, announced plans to return to American Ninja Warrior in 2019.
All eyes will be on Allyssa Beird, a female teacher from Massachusetts who is breaking records on the show. She is the second woman ever who hit the buzzer and fans are rallying around her to either be the first woman to win the course or at least make it through to the end. Beird has competed in American Ninja Warrior seasons 8 and 9 as well as making it to the L.A. Finals for season 10.
In addition to Allyssa Beird, another fan favorite is Mathis “The Kid” Owhadi who is the youngest contestant currently on track to complete the first stage of the finals.
The final season features four different stages and obstacle courses. The show will end on September 10, 2018.
