The eighth season of American Horror Story is right around the corner and fans are doing their best to come up with new theories and decipher clues. Of course, it’s almost always impossible to guess what exactly the production has in store for us but it’s still fun to try, right? Especially when the iconic teasers come out.
That being said, we do know a big part of the cast that will be involved in the new season Ryan Murphy previously announced will be a crossover between the first season, Murder House, and the third one, Coven.
But there is a new mystery person who seems too important to the plot for him to tell us for now. Who exactly is this ‘secret friend?’
As you may be aware, FX has already announced that the premiere date is sometime in September.
‘You know everyone involved says they are really optimistic about it—that they’d want to read a script and then everyone wants to bring the band back together…So I think it could be great it could sort of be an all-star thing. Dylan [McDermott] said he’d be up for it, Connie [Britton] would be up for it. Angela [Bassett] said she’d be up for it. So we’ll see. I’m optimistic about it,’ Murphy previously told E! News.
In fact, season 9 was reportedly supposed to be set in the near future and star Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates and new addition Joan Collins.
However, that is no longer the case as for some reason, they decided to use the crossover storyline this upcoming season instead.
‘The Coven/Murder House AHS crossover season won’t be happening next year…because it’s happening THIS YEAR. AHS #8 WITCHES RULE THIS SEPTEMBER,’ Murphy tweeted.
But that’s not all! Billy Eichner, one new addition to the cast, took to social media to share a pic that features him and some of his AHS cast-mates out on dinner.
Alongside him, there are mostly very familiar faces to the diehard fans but also one actor is hidden.
The caption mysteriously reads: ‘It’s gonna be a wild one!’ We are very curious to learn who exactly the ‘secret friend’ is and why it’s so important for him or her to remain hidden. Any idea?
