American Horror Story is gifting fans with an exciting crossover this season. Characters from Murder House and Coven will be reuniting for American Horror Story: Apocalypse in what might be the most anticipated season to date. Here’s a quick look at every character returning and where we last saw them.
The new season is set 8 years after the horrific events in Murder House and 5 years after Coven ended. That means all of the characters who survived each season will have gone through plenty of changes in the interim.
While we do not know what each character is up to now, we do know which ones will be back in action this season.
According to TV Guide, there are 7 characters from Murder House who will be back for Apocalypse. This includes Ben (Dylan McDermott), who died after his wife, Vivien (Connie Britton), passed away giving birth, Violet (Taissa Farmiga), who committed suicide, and Tate (Evan Peters), who is still waiting to make things right with Violet.
Britton and Jessica Lange, who played Constance, are also reprising their roles. Apocalypse marks the first time we’ve seen Lange since Freak Show.
Sarah Paulson, meanwhile, will be returning as Billie Dean. As fans will recall, Billie is the psychic who gave Constance advice and eventually rose to fame during the Hotel season. Paulson is playing two other roles this season, including Cordelia from Coven and a character named Venable.
Speaking of Coven, characters returning from this season include Zoe (Taissa Farmiga), who was helping Cordelia with the Academy, Myrtle (Francis Conroy), who was burned alive, Misty (Lily Rabe), who got trapped in hell, and Madison (Emma Roberts), who was strangled to death.
Queenie (Gabourey Sidibe) is also set to return, despite being killed by Mr. March and Ramona Royale in Hotel.
American Horror Story: Apocalypse premieres Sept. 12 on FX.
