After eight years on the cast of Teen Mom, Amber Portwood has decided to leave the show. However, the feuding co-star, Farrah Abraham is claiming that she is not actually leaving and that everything is just a scheme to get attention.
Portwood went to her social media to share the sad news of her moving on from the hit series that made her famous, saying: “I’ll be leaving Teen Mom OG sadly,” Portwood captioned an Instagram photo of the cast.
The reason why she can no longer stay? “The lack of respect is too much,” she explained, adding” But still sending all my love.”
The 25 year old famous mom explained that her televised, but heavily edited, to make her look bad -fight with Abraham is the main reason why she decided to quit the show.
“The day I’m shown some respect by the people I’ve worked with for 8 years is the day I’ll be back,” she tweeted. “I’ve sacrificed a lot for this show.”
She added that the way she has been treated is “unfair.”
“If I was treated fairly it wouldn’t be an issue, but it’s been nothing but disrespect since the reunion show, which keeps continuing today. Nothing has been dealt with or has made me feel any safer to even move on with people who have continuously hidden things from the network.”
As we previously reported, Portwood stormed the stage when Abraham said her fiancé Matt Baier “looks like” a pedophile.
After Portwood slapped Abraham, Baier was filmed throwing Abraham’s father Michael to the ground.
“F**K MTV they cut half of what happened out. They cut out Michael literally screaming in my face and calling me a b***h and him putting his hands on Matt’s neck… disgusted,” tweeted Portwood after the episode aired.
Farrah, however, claims that Portwood is bluffing about quitting the show.
“Amber would never quit or any of the other girls. They all need the money, especially their boyfriends.”
