Amber Portwood, as we recently reported announced her decision to quit Teen Mom after 8 years on the show. The never-ending feud with co-star Farrah Abraham that ended in a physical altercation on camera might have just been the last straw. However, it looks like Farrah was somewhat correct when she called out her bluff after the official announcement, because it looks like Amber has changed her mind about leaving and even hinted that she may return soon.
“It seems that I might be getting the respect I deserve from MTV,” she tweeted on Saturday. “Awaiting patiently… We’ll see.”
Abraham predicted that the quitting idea would not really happen, saying: “Amber would never quit or any of the other girls. They all need the money, especially their boyfriends.”
After Portwood tweeted about getting the respect she deserves from the MTV show, fans immediately accused her of returning for money, but the reality TV mom shot back saying: “Another person ignorantly talking as if they know anything. Money is not a problem with or without MTV.”
On Thursday Portwood explained she’s leaving the show because the “lack of respect is too much.”
“The day I’m shown respect by the people I’ve working with for 8 years is the day I’ll be back. I’ve scarified a lot show this show. If I was treated fairly it wouldn’t be an issue, but it’s been nothing but disrespect since the reunion show, which keeps continuing today.”
As we have previously reported, Portwood attacked Abraham when she said her fiancé Matt Baier “looks like” a pedophile.
After Portwood slapped Abraham, Baier was caught on camera throwing Abraham’s father Michael to the ground. She accused MTV of editing the whole altercation in such a way that she and Baier looked as the bad guys in the whole thing, tweeting:
“F**K MTV they cut half of what happened out. They cut out Michael literally screaming in my face and calling me a b***h and him putting his hands on Matt’s neck… disgusted.”
