After Johnny Depp opened up about his and ex Amber Heard’s explosive split and domestic abuse allegations against him, it is now the woman’s turn to fire back in a classic ‘he said, she said,’ situation. Apparently, his candid interview for GQ cannot be considered anything else than ‘outrageous,’ especially because the publication supposedly did not bother to check the facts with the witnesses.
As you may know, Johnny denied all allegations and expressed how hurt he was to be forced into such a situation with someone he really loved.
But Amber did not address his interview herself, and instead, her lawyer released an official statement.
‘It’s outrageous how GQ never spoke to any of the witnesses to Mr. Depp’s physical abuse of Ms. Heard before publishing the article. If GQ had done a basic investigation into Mr. Depp’s claims, it would’ve quickly realized his statements are untrue. Mr. Depp has blatantly disregarded the parties’ confidentiality agreement and has still refused to allow Ms. Heard to respond to his allegations, despite repeated requests she be allowed to do so.’
In addition, ‘Mr. Depp is shamefully continuing his psychological abuse of Ms. Heard, who’s attempted to put a really painful part of her life in her past. One need only look at the physical evidence to draw the right conclusion.’
Heard filed for divorce back in 2016 and soon after, footage of [allegedly] Depp throwing a wine glass at her surfaced.
One report at the time also claimed the actor threw an iPhone at her face, resulting in some bruises that she later showed in pictures.
Johnny’s legal reps denied the report, and in his newest interview, he denied everything else she accused him of. For his side of the story click here.
