As fans know by now, the Bachelor in Paradise star was shockingly arrested for domestic abuse after allegedly shoving her boyfriend at a drunken party. Now, Amanda Stanton addressed the incident via a rep.
The arrest took place on Monday morning while Amanda, her boyfriend Bobby Jacobs and some friends were partying at the Wynn hotel and casino in a room.
Apparently, some other hotel guests complained about the noise and the security showed up.
While Bobby was talking to them, a heavily intoxicated Amanda intervened, shoving her significant other so hard that the security officer decided to call the police.
The Las Vegas Metro Police shared with ET yesterday that ‘A physical altercation took place in one hotel room where it’s alleged that Stanton battered her boyfriend.’
They went on to say that ‘Hotel security was notified and the police were called. Through the course of the investigation, it was discovered that there was probable cause to arrest Stanton on one Battery Domestic Violence count. She was transported to CCDC and booked accordingly.’
Yesterday, one rep released the following statement about the arrest: ‘Amanda is embarrassed and ashamed that this happened and sincerely apologizes to the hotel’s security and to the Las Vegas Police Department. Amanda is a gentle and respectful person who’s never gotten physical with anyone under any circumstances. That night she had a few drinks at a bachelorette bash, and when the hotel security asked her and her boyfriend to quiet down, she got a little rambunctious.’
The rep went on to say that ‘Amanda gave Bobby what she thought was only a playful shove, the hotel’s security did their job and reported the incident to the police. Despite Bobby explaining that this was not an ill-intended shove, the police still had to do their job which Amanda respects and understands.’
