The perspective of some new episodes in the Gilmore Girls TV show sparked a lot of interest in fans for the future plot twists and developments. Recently, Alexis Bledel declared that fans will get the chance to see some closure in the series, or at least in what concerns Rory’s love interests.
She declared for Us Weekly that the new episodes from Gilmore Girls: A Yar in the Life will be focusing on Rory’s main suitors. As such, Logan Huntzberger is played by Matt Czuchry, Dean Forester is played by Jared Padalecki, while Jess Mariano is interpreted by Milo Ventimiglia. According to her declaration, fans of any of the possible three couples will be satisfied with the closure they will receive. However, she did mention that each of the closures is different from the other, being based on various interactions.
The actress also added that the storyline is centered on Rory’s professional struggle. Being a newcomer in a field that in its turn is going through a lot of changes and is very dynamic, we can be sure that this brings up lots of material for showing Rory’s internal evolution. Bledel added that Rory had a hard time starting her career as a journalist in a time where newspapers are being replaced by technology. It seems that the episodes will pick the story up from here, just as she was preparing to launch her career in this field.
Rory’s mother, Lorelai, will be shown in the upcoming episodes by focusing on Richard Gilmore’s death, who was played by the late Edward Hermann. Lauren Graham, the actress who plays Lorelai, said that she doesn’t feel like much changed inside the show. She adds that the story starts from the regular things fans already knew, except the fact that now Lorelei is propelled by the fact she lost her dad. However, in all the main things, her character seems to remain the same.
