Adele scared her fans when she announced the possibility of never going on a new tour again. The 28-years old singer dropped the bomb at her New Zealand show on Sunday, managing to raise some big question marks.
The “Hello” singer is unsure that she wants to continue playing her songs on tour when she ends her concerts this summer. Adele explained the audience at Mt Smart Stadium that touring isn’t something she’s good at, and too much attention makes her uncomfortable.
She added that her fans are the only reason she’s doing it and, in the near future, she may not go on tour again.
The singer concluded the third leg of her ongoing “Adele Live 2017” tour on Sunday in front of 40,000 spectators at the arena in Auckland.
Also, with just four shows remaining on her tour, all taking place at London’s Wembley Stadium, Adele really shocked her fans and gave birth to a contest to ensure a place at her shows.
But Adele isn’t to blame, as she began the massive tour, “Adele Live 2016,” in February last year and had put on over 100 shows since. A lot to handle for an artist well acknowledged to keep a low profile.
The British singer sold out all her concerts, so if she decides to hang up the mic later this year, people will be disappointed.
Adele is known for truly loving her fans, and there were quite a few memorable moments, like when she even invited people to get engaged on stage throughout the tour.
Adele blasted last month’s Grammys by winning each of the three most desired awards – the song of the year, the record of the year for “Hello,” and the album of the year for “25.”
