During Friday night’s Graham Norton Show, funny actor Adam Sandler was captured on camera touching British actress Claire Foy’s knee even though she looked totally uncomfortable with his gesture. Naturally, the viewers caught the invasive touching and slammed the man for crossing the line!
In the wake of Harvey Weinstein’s huge sexual harassment scandal, it looks like Hollywood has entered a new era in which males in the film industry are immediately slammed when behaving inappropriately around female counterparts.
That being said, when Sandler rested his palm on Foy’s leg, the audience was quick to blast the actor.
The 33-year-old woman looked embarrassed during the incident, and she even seemed to cringe, so people’s reactions were pretty legitimate.
Fey actually tried to pat his hand away, but the clueless star had it back on her knee soon enough.
Noticing the incident, Emma Thompson, who was also a guest, gave Adam the stink eye.
But even so, Sandler did not notice the British actress’ discomfort as he kept telling a story about his mom while continuing to touch her.
Sandler even touched Thompson’s leg at some point during the episode.
The two actors are co-starring in the film Meyerwitz Stories.
‘Sandler touching Claire Foy’s knee for no reason, she put his hand back, he then does it again, she looked rightly p***** off,’ one social media user commented.
‘Felt very uncomfortable watching Adam repeatedly put his unwanted hand on the knee of Claire Foy,’ another tweeted.
Soon after, a spokesperson for the actor explained that it was a ‘friendly gesture’ and that he did it with Dustin Hoffman recently as well.
