Abby Huntsman will soon join the cast and crew of the infamous morning talk show, The View. ABC announced today that the former co-host of Fox And Friends will hold the reins as a co-host beginning on the 4th of September.
Undoubtedly, Abby will take some heat for her job at FOX, considering the network isn’t the most popular among the ladies on The View. Regardless, the 32-year-old daughter of Jon Huntsman Junior – who currently is the United States Ambassador to Russia – will work alongside Sunny Hostin, Joy Behar, Meghan McCain and Whoopi Goldberg.
Abby is replacing Sara Haines, whose final appearence on the show will be the 3rd of September after she revealed she would co-host GMA alongside Mr. Michael Strahan.
In an official press release, Abby said that she was stoked to “return to her professional roots” at ABC. According to the 32-year-old, joining other women on The View, arguably the most popular talk show in America, is a “dream come true!”
As fans of the series know, since beginning in 1997, it has become one of the most notorious talk shows on the air led by the legendary journalist, Barbara Walters.
This marks its 22nd season and will be twenty years in a row for Joy Behar, who is known for her outlandish and off-the-cuff remarks. Some of the guests to come on the show soon include Stormy Daniels, Kristen Bell, Ricky Gervais, Taraji P. Henson, Mariska Hargitay, and America Ferrera.
The View has garnered an innumberable amount of accolades, including several Daytime Emmys. Moreover, the show, despite going through several line-up changes, continues to be one of ABC’s mainstays.
The series is most known for the commentary of Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg, who talk about women’s issues, politics, and other problems du jour. Famously, Whoopi Goldberg took Donald Trump to task during his 2016 presidential campaign.
