During a brand new interview, Aaron Carter opened up about his relationship with his brother Nick following their feud earlier in the year. Check out what the singer had to say about his sibling.
‘It is just a brother thing. I love my brother so much. He is eight years older than me, so he has influenced me with a lot of different cultures and music and what he has picked up, so besides that, there is always going to be some sort of competition,’ Aaron explained.
People started noticing the tension between the two back in July when Nick took to social media to show support to his younger brother following his arrest.
However, it is safe to say that Aaron did not appreciate the gesture at all, as he slammed Nick for not reaching out to him in person, and accusing him of wanting to ‘kick me while I’m down.’
At the time, during an interview, Aaron Carter even stated that there was too much ‘animosity’ between them and as a result, they may never reconcile.
Now, it sounds like the star has changed his mind.
Noting that Nick reached out publicly to wish him a happy birthday this year, he explained that ‘sometimes a birthday wish can change things.’
But despite the fact that they have reconciled, we learned that Aaron would not be spending the holidays with his family and other loved ones.
‘I am going to be doing charity work on Christmas Day. I like doing charity work, but I want to spend time with my family, so it is a hard thing to deal with. I love my family, but I feel like with my life, doing more charitable things and doing good deeds is something I like to do,’ he explained.
