The results are in! Rachel Weisz and her man, Daniel Craig, are on their way to having a baby. During an interview with the New York Times, both parties revealed the news.
Rachel said she’ll be “showing soon,” and she and Daniel are “so happy.” As you may know, Craig, who’s 50-years-old, and Rachel, 48, got married back in 2011.
It’s great that they managed to conceive considering their respective ages, as the fertility rate of a woman in her late 40’s is incredibly low, as painful as it is to acknowledge.
Rachel and Craig first got together while filming the Dream House, and the actress admitted she never would’ve expected to get married, but Daniel changed her mind.
When speaking with The Evening Standard, Rachel explained that marriage was never an ambition of hers, in fact, it was the opposite, so much to the point that the theme of romantic comedies typically was completely lost on her.
However, after meeting Daniel Craig – and we’re sure his role as James Bond had something to do with it – Rachel now wears her ring “with pride.”
She said, “I’m taken.” Back in 2016, Weisz said Craig was just “too famous,” and the fame was hard to deal with. She remarked, “you have to protect your marriage.”
The actress explained that one of the positives of growing out of your youth is the fact that you no longer have to share all of your life’s details with friends.
The door closes, and you can choose what you share and what you don’t. As for how they deal with nosy fans, Craig said Rachel is the best at simply saying no to people. The Fountain alum will turn and say, “no, thank you very much,” and the fan accepts it.
